Job summary

Alverno Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for Outreach Phlebotomy Services at the Plainfield PSC. The role centers on collecting blood specimens, handling laboratory office duties, and ensuring accurate data entry in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, prior phlebotomy experience or training, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to other locations may be required; weekend rotations are possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
• Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• May be required to travel/drive to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform laboratory office duties.
• Register patients and enter data into the computer system accurately.
• Process paperwork and specimen accessioning.
• Prepare specimens for testing and dispatch to central or reference laboratories.
