Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Lakeville, MN, seeks a Phlebotomy Technician for a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM role with rotational weekend work. You will collect venous and capillary blood, process samples, and perform POC testing across ages from infants to geriatrics.

The position requires at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience and strong teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment; a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood and/or perform POC as assigned.
• Prepares phlebotomy carts/trays and restocks supplies.
• Assists coworkers with draws and POC testing.
• Draws venous or capillary blood from newborn through geriatric patients using aseptic techniques.
• Delivers blood work (stat, timed, routine) within policy time frames.
• Performs and processes all POC tests across age groups.
• Reports incidents or equipment defects promptly to supervisor.
• Logs refrigerator temperatures daily.
• Travels to health fairs PSA testing sites as needed.
• Communicates with patients and caregivers at appropriate level.
