Job summary

The American Red Cross in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our mission-driven team. Paid phlebotomy training is provided, so no prior medical experience is required; you will learn to collect lifesaving blood donations at local sites.

You will engage with donors, support a safe, welcoming environment, and collaborate with teammates to meet regulatory goals. A valid driver's license and flexible schedule are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication skills required.
• Current, valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all steps of the blood collection process at donation sites.
• Transport and set up equipment and create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure collected blood can be safely transfused.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown.
