Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Round Rock, TX. The candidate will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure proper storage and transport to maintain sample integrity.

Required is a Phlebotomy Certification and experience with specimen handling, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining accurate patient data. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy Certification is mandatory.
• Experience performing blood draws and proper specimen handling.
• Ability to follow established procedures for labeling, transport, and storage.

Job Description

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Qualification :
• Phlebotomy Certification is Mandatory

This is a Contract position based out of Round Rock, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.61/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
