Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician for a contract-to-hire role in Vienna, VA. The technician will obtain blood specimens and other samples for laboratory testing, drawing blood with straight needles, and labeling and processing specimens in a fast-paced environment. The position requires working onsite in Vienna.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

2 year experience outside of school (REQUIRED)

Day to Day:

• Obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing
• Ability to use straight needles and draw 50+ times per day
• Responsible for drawing blood on patients ranging from infants to geriatrics
• Ability to work in a fast paced and hectic environment
• Labeling specimens and handling all specimens properly
• Experience processing specimens for laboratory testing

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vienna, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
