Qualifications

  • Experience with all blood collection tube types and specimen processing.
  • Comfortable working with pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Collect, label, process, centrifuge, store, and prepare specimens for testing and transport.

  • Document patient and specimen information accurately in laboratory systems.
  • Support workflow improvements, troubleshoot specimen issues, and assist with staff training when needed.

Phlebotomist II

Join a fast-paced laboratory or hospital team where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality patient care. The Phlebotomist II is responsible for performing venipuncture, capillary collections, specimen processing, and sample handling while ensuring patient comfort and specimen integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood collections using straight and butterfly needles for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

  • Collect, label, process, centrifuge, store, and prepare specimens for testing and transport.

  • Verify patient information, physician orders, and laboratory requisitions for accuracy.

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, DEP, HIPAA, and laboratory safety standards.

  • Document patient and specimen information accurately in laboratory systems.

  • Support workflow improvements, troubleshoot specimen issues, and assist with staff training when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
