Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking a healthcare support professional to obtain blood specimens from patients and transport them to the laboratory. The role requires accurate patient and specimen identification and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills are essential, and an MLA certification is preferred. An associate degree with biology/chemistry coursework is also desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT) preferred.
• Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of biology and 6 semester hours of chemistry preferred.

Must complete HeartSaver CPR by the end of the orientation period.
