Job summary

Responsibilities

• Collect venous and fingerstick blood specimens per policies.
• Train and orient new employees and students in blood collection practices.
• Operate the laboratory computer system for job activities.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies.
• Package and transport specimens to appropriate departments.
• Answer phones and beepers to respond to workflow changes.
• Ensure patient identification is correct 100% of the time.
