• Recognizes, reports, documents, and intervenes on abnormal, critical, or unusual test results.
• Follows procedures for collecting and processing biological specimens and resolves related issues.
• Identifies and resolves specimen collection problems and rejects improperly collected samples when necessary.
• Performs duties such as filing records, registering patients, maintaining patient records, retrieving data, and sending reports to physicians.
