Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood collections for inpatient, outpatient, and off-site services. You will interact with patients, physicians, and hospital staff while ensuring safety and accuracy in specimen collection.

Responsibilities include handling administrative tasks, using the laboratory information system, and supporting clerical duties as needed. New graduates may be considered by the Director; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification (ARC or AHA) required.
• New graduates may be considered by the Director.
• Experience in phlebotomy is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Performs phlebotomy and clerical duties in hospital labs and outpatient services.
• Ensures correct patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Serves as receptionist for laboratory patients and staff.
• Maintains patient records and communicates results to physicians.
• Operates the laboratory information system to enter and retrieve data.
• Participates in in-service trainings and department meetings.
