TGH North in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect specimens, interact with patients and healthcare staff, and support laboratory operations. This role also serves as a receptionist for the lab and handles clerical tasks to ensure accurate patient data and timely test results.

The successful candidate will have strong venipuncture skills, a high school diploma or GED, and BLS certification, with at least five years of phlebotomy experience or equivalent training in a hospital

Formación

• Five years of experience in phlebotomy.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA required.

Responsabilidades

• Collects human clinical specimens using approved laboratory methods.
• Interacts professionally with patients, physicians and hospital staff.
• Serves as receptionist for patients and lab staff conducting business with the laboratory.
• Maintains patient data and communicates results to health care providers.
• Trains, supervises and coordinates phlebotomy activities as needed.
• Maintains inventory and ensures samples are prepared for send-out to reference labs.
