Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a team of phlebotomists in Summit clinic labs. You will manage staff scheduling with the phlebotomy lead, oversee training and competency assessments, and ensure blood draws and specimen collections meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will perform phlebotomy as needed, handle specimen processing, order entry, and LIS tasks, while ensuring accurate testing and timely results across satellite locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification (NHA) required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and laboratory requirements.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures and specimen collection per standards.
• Schedule staff with phlebotomy lead and train new hires.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all procedures.
• Process specimens and enter orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Maintain equipment and supplies and troubleshoot as needed.
• Travel to satellite locations as required.
