Quest Diagnostics Inc. in Saint Joseph, MI is seeking a Phlebotomist Representative I for hospital-based duties, Monday to Friday 1:00 PM–9:30 PM with rotating weekends.

The role involves drawing blood, labeling specimens, and maintaining patient confidentiality in a fast-paced setting. Successful applicants will demonstrate solid phlebotomy skills and a patient-friendly approach, with the potential for shift differential on off-peak hours.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and overtime.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all age groups.
• Accurately label and process specimens according to laboratory protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy carts and work areas.
• Data entry and processing of specimens including labeling, centrifuging, and freezing as required.
• Read and comply with departmental policies and safety manuals.
• Observe infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Rotate through inpatient, outpatient, physicians’ offices, and ED settings as scheduled.
• Assist with training new staff or students as needed.
