Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to oversee Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. You will work with PSC staff, management, laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation, while performing phlebotomy and specimen processing under minimal supervision.

The role includes travel to additional sites, scheduling, and maintaining high standards of patient care and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• 3+ years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training must come from an accredited agency.
• In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues to supervisors.
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations.
• Address customer service-related issues promptly and respectfully.
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
