Job Description

• The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) interacts directly with patients, representing our company by providing quality service and care.
• Draws blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
• Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and drawing blood skillfully, safely, and accurately.
• Demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.
• May be assigned to various locations such as doctor’s offices or patient service centers based on business needs.
• Performs daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
• Maintains a safe and professional environment.
• Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following protocols.
• Verifies patient demographic info and labels specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation.
• Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment.

Job Requirements

• Ability to produce error-free, quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
• Adheres to all policies, including dress code, safety, and company principles.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Preferably 2+ years in a Patient Service Center environment.
• Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute within 20-25 minutes of the work site.
