Title: Phlebotomist II

Location: Roswell, GA 30076
Duration: 2 Months
Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm EST, Monday to Friday

Job Description:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients, whether they are visiting as part of their routine health checks or for important health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established practices and procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, requiring the creation of a trustworthy and confident environment, and involves explaining procedures clearly while performing blood draws safely and accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy. Depending on business needs, assignments may be at a doctor's office, a patient service center, or other locations.

  • Under the supervision of the area manager, perform daily tasks accurately and punctually.
  • Maintain a safe, professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing confidently, following established protocols.
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials, including post-venipuncture signatures, to ensure proper labeling and identification.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image and demonstrate organizational commitment to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
  • Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Possess excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Be flexible and available for staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including dress code, health & safety, and company guiding principles.
  • Make decisions based on established procedures with sound judgment.
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
  • Travel and flexible hours required to work across multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Handle multiple priorities effectively in high-volume settings.
  • Exhibit superior customer focus, open communication, adaptability to change, and knowledge of our business.
  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
  • At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Preferably, two years in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Experience in retail or service customer interactions preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
Additional Details:
  • Reliable transportation to the worksite is essential; public transit or rideshare services are not considered reliable.
  • Must be punctual, available for scheduled shifts, and committed to the entire shift duration.
  • Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in termination.
  • Verify that candidates have a commute time of 20-25 minutes to ensure punctuality and coverage.
