Natera, a global cfDNA testing leader, is seeking a Phlebotomist and PSC operations lead in California. You will identify optimal collection methods, prepare specimens, and oversee the patient service center operations, including supervising phlebotomists as growth allows.

Role requires strong phlebotomy experience, leadership skills, and adherence to HIPAA/PHI privacy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive quality metrics while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience Managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and teams experience preferred BS/BA degree (preferred).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required Phlebotomy Certification (or equivalent) preferred, except where regulatory regulations are mandated depending upon state.
• Previous financial and budgetary experience preferred.
• Bilingual language skills preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with orders and requisition documentation; brings discrepancies to the attention of leadership.
• Verifies patient by reading patient identification.
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and procedures; follows isolation procedures.
• Tracks collected specimens and maintains daily tallies; records in Natera system.
• Maintains quality results by following procedures and logging results; reports KPIs biweekly.
• Ensures safe, secure, and healthy work environment; complies with regulations.
• Resolves unusual test orders by contacting physicians and referencing labs; updates team on unresolved orders.
• Enhances phlebotomy reputation by taking on new requests and adding value.
• Completes HIPAA/PHI privacy training within 30 days of hire.
• Works with PHI in paper and electronic forms; uses required technologies.
• Reports issues to leadership; assists with phlebotomy equipment management; may lift up to 50 pounds.
• May travel to stock supplies or onboard/train staff as needed.
• Assists with vendor management and program oversight.
• Monitors distribution and claiming of blood draws; manages customer feedback; escalations as needed.
• Manages scheduling issues and maintains ongoing draw statuses.
