HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead the Laboratory phlebotomy team. The role focuses on daily operations, staffing, and timely specimen collection in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

You will play a key role in interviewing, training new staff, and ensuring adherence to infection control and patient identification standards while maintaining quality service across shifts.

Formación

• Three years phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory is required.
• Two years supervisory experience, highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• You will be responsible for the daily operations of the outpatient and inpatient phlebotomy areas, to include scheduling and direct supervision of all phlebotomy personnel.
• You will review, prioritize and assign specimen collection requests to phlebotomy personnel to ensure timely collection.
• You will be responsible for follow up, reviewing and reporting compliance with infection control, patient identification and competency assessments.
• You will participate in interviewing and selecting candidates, to include orienting and coordinating training of new employees.
• You will prepare schedules for phlebotomy personnel schedule in a timely manner and directly oversee workflow, assess workload, and reassign staff to ensure uninterrupted quality service.
