CALRegional seeks a part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor in Oakland, CA. You will instruct students in the phlebotomy scope, evaluate progress, and prepare them for externships. The roleRequires a CPT license and CLIA lab experience, with no teaching experience required.

Evening classes run Monday-Thursday, 6:00 PM–9:30 PM, with opportunities for bonuses and career growth. The program emphasizes professional values and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Current CPT License.
• 3 years of documented on-the-job CLIA lab experience in the last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.
• Proficient in all aspects of blood collection (capillary, syringe, vacutainer, butterfly).
• Comfortable speaking to large groups.
• Efficient with computers and technology.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
• Evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress.
• Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship.
• Assist students to develop values, attitudes, and professionalism.
• Provide a professional role model for students.
