CALRegional is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor to educate students in phlebotomy practice. The program runs 3–12 weeks, with evening sessions and a 5:30 pm–9:00 pm schedule at McClennan Park, CA.

No teaching experience is required, but candidates must have a CPT license and recent CLIA lab experience. This role emphasizes mentorship and professional development in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current CPT License.
• 3 years of on-the-job CLIA lab experience in the last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.
• Proficient in blood collection methods (capillary, syringe, vacutainer, butterfly).
• Comfortable speaking to large groups and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the Phlebotomy Technician scope of practice.
• Evaluate, report, and record student performance.
• Prepare students for the 72-hour class and 40-hour externship.
• Help students develop professional values and attitudes in healthcare.
• Provide a professional role model for students.
