Job summary

CALRegional is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician Lead Instructor to help train the next generation of healthcare professionals. The role runs 3–12 week programs and evenings Monday–Thursday, 5:30 pm–9:00 pm at McClennan Park.

You will lead lectures, assess student progress, and guide externship preparation in hospitals or labs. Ideal candidates have a current CPT license and at least 3 years in a CLIA lab, with strong speaking skills, comfort with large groups, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Current CPT license.
• 3 years of on-the-job CLIA lab experience within the last 5 years.
• No teaching experience required.
• Proficient in blood collection techniques (capillary, syringe, vacutainer, butterfly).

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in Phlebotomy scope of practice.
• Evaluating, reporting, and recording student performance and progress.
• Prepare students in a 72-hour class to go on to a 40-hour externship in a lab or hospital.
• Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
• Providing a professional role model for students.
