Job summary

STGi in Savannah, TN seeks a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Technician for a Community Based Outpatient Clinic role. You will perform venipuncture and specimen processing, plus front desk clerical duties to support clinic operations.

Requirements include two years of phlebotomy experience, PBT-ASCP or RPT-AMT certification, BLS/CPR, and strong communication skills. A HS diploma and phlebotomy training are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of current clinical phlebotomy experience.
• Current certification/registration as Phlebotomy Technician (PBT-ASCP) or Phlebotomy Technician (RPT-AMT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology for test requests and results.
• Diplomatic communication skills and ability to handle difficult customer situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of phlebotomy duties (venipuncture, finger-stick, heel-stick) and related specimen handling.
• Conduct patient in-processing and guide patients through paperwork as needed.
• Assemble equipment and ensure proper setup for specified tests/procedures.
• Verify patient identity and communicate comfort and handling during procedures.
• Provide non-phlebotomy clerical support at front desk and maintain clean, stocked phlebotomy area.
