Job summary

STGi is seeking a Phlebotomist to provide phlebotomy services at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Tupelo, Mississippi. The role includes administrative support and front desk duties within the clinic.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture, specimen collection, ensuring proper handling, and assisting with patient processing and care, while adhering to safety and SOP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Six months general experience and six months specialized phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology for test requests and results.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of phlebotomy duties including venipuncture, finger-stick, and heel-stick; prepare and process specimens according to SOPs.
• Verify patient identity, obtain consent, and provide guidance to patients.
• Assemble and organize equipment for tests; maintain front desk phlebotomy area cleanliness and supply inventory.
• Document samples and assist with non-phlebotomy clerical tasks in clinic as needed.
