• Active enrollment in a clinical laboratory program and commitment through employment duration

• Phlebotomy training and/or experience OR Certificate in Medical Assisting or Phlebotomy
• Medical Office or clerical related experience
• Computer literacy and multi-application competency
• Follows appropriate Service Standards

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other specimen collection.
• Uses LIS and HIS to conduct phlebotomy, order entry, result lookup and report generation.
• Answers phones and forwards appropriate problems to the proper area.
• Operates department per policy and procedure.
• Performs accessioning, centrifuging and aliquoting.
• Provides basic customer service.
• Maintains universal precautions and PPE as required.
• Performs general clerical duties when applicable.
