Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Lab Tech Assistant for Core Laboratory operations in the Lima Medical Office Building. You will prepare specimens, register and accession orders, verify specimen acceptability and perform pre-analytical and analytical procedures.

Phlebotomy and specimen collection are required, with emphasis on accuracy and patient service. This role supports technologists, manages inventory, and assists with instrument loading, reagents, and troubleshooting to ensure

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Associates in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• Laboratory experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and follow venipuncture procedures.
• Register and accession orders; verify specimen acceptability.
• Assist technologists with instrument loading, reagents, and troubleshooting.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
• Maintain inventory and provide clerical support.
