Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, part of Optum, is seeking a qualified phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, finger sticks and waived tests across pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced clinic environment.

You will maintain accurate records, support quality controls, and ensure safety and instrument care while delivering compassionate patient service. Preferences include EPIC experience and bilingual abilities; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
• Must obtain BLS within 30 days of employment.
• KSC review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years of phlebotomy-related experience or 3+ years with waived testing experience.
• Experience with computers and Windows-based software.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Ability to handle equipment and deliver good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult venipunctures, finger sticks, and other collection services as ordered by the provider.
• Perform CLIA waived testing per manual with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records for inspections/audits.
• Perform quality controls and participate in proficiency testing.
• Maintain lab instruments and follow safety guidelines.
