Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and CLIA-waived tests at a Houston location. You will maintain accurate records, participate in quality controls, and help ensure compliance with safety and laboratory procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with phlebotomy program or related experience, and must obtain BLS within 30 days. Strong customer service and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience if no phlebotomy program; 3+ years in related role with waived testing experience.
• Ability to obtain BLS within 30 days of employment.
• Must complete skill validation within 90 days of hire.
• English speaking/writing ability and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult venipunctures and other collection services.
• Perform CLIA waived tests with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and assist audits.
• Perform quality controls and instrument maintenance as directed.
