Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Lab Support Tech I to greet patients, direct them, and perform phlebotomy, including blood cultures and related tests. You will work with computer systems, support clerical duties, and assist with specimen handling in a fast-paced lab setting.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with hospital information systems. A signing bonus may be offered; schedule includes evenings, holidays, and 40-hour weeks on-site.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Computer and keyboard proficiency required.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture across all ages.
• Receive, label, and prioritize specimens in the computer system.
• Register courier-delivered specimens and troubleshoot issues.
