McLaren Health Care is seeking a per diem Phlebotomist in Bay City, MI to perform specimen collection by phlebotomy at in-house or off-site locations and to handle related lab tasks under supervision.

The role includes patient instruction on specimen collection, data entry into hospital information systems, quality control support, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Schedule includes weekends with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Performs all specimen collection by phlebotomy and other specimens as indicated, instructs patients in collection.
• Collects, verifies, and processes patient data and test orders in HIS/LIS, including ABN compliance.
• Performs waived tests and assists in other testing platforms under supervision.
• Maintains infection control and safe work environment and supports quality control activities.
• Orients and trains new staff and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
