Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Associate to join our patient care team at multiple campuses in Beverly, MA. The role covers all aspects of specimen collection, processing, packaging and transport, with emphasis on accurate labeling and timely delivery.

You'll perform phlebotomy across age groups, maintain quality control, manage inventory, and support registration and order entry while upholding hospital policies and patient safety in a dynamic, high-volume laboratory

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of approved phlebotomy program required.
• Completion of Phlebotomy Internship preferred.
• 1 Year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize processing and transport of routine and stat specimens.
• Perform proper patient/specimen identification and phlebotomy collection.
• Enter orders and registrations accurately in the system.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs and documentation.
• Monitor supply inventory and keep work area organized.
• Adhere to hospital policies for specimen handling and transport.
