Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to collect and process specimens, assist with registration, and support lab workflow. You will perform venipuncture, prepare specimens, and ensure specimen integrity while following procedures and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years in a clinical lab setting or vocational training, and phlebotomy or related certification. Weekend shifts rotate with the team to ensure patient care continuity.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and monitor testing requirements.
• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks for various ages.

• Maintain accurate records and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow procedures for patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Operate IS and handle clerical duties as needed.
