Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist who can work independently with minimal supervision. Compensation depends on modalities performed; apprenticeship level considered for those without experience. Regular in-person attendance during scheduled hours is essential.

Candidates with HS diploma; ASCP PBT or equivalent certification and completion of a CLS/CLA program are preferred. Immunization and state regulations must be met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate professional judgment in dealings with clients, patients and staff.
• Assist with hospital communications and on-call responsibilities by location.
• Handle clerical tasks including documenting critical communications.
