TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for Rust Hospital. This hourly, PRN role involves varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and ASCP certification is preferred. Immunization and safety requirements apply, with on-call duties by location and strict patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification; completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.
• Immunization requirements: Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination or waiver; documentation of PPD test within 90 days or through TriCore.

Responsabilités

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits problem solving skills to ensure customer and patient care.
• Responsible for hospital communications, including on-call responsibilities by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holidays/weekends as needed.
• Performs clerical functions including documenting critical communication.
• Basic PC skills.
