Valley Health System is hiring a Phlebotomist for a per diem position in the LABORATORY department. The role involves drawing blood, labeling specimens correctly, and transporting them to processing while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture across neonatal to geriatric patients, adhere to OSHA guidelines, and ensure proper LIS usage. Training in phlebotomy and a current BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be enrolled in or have completed a Phlebotomy training program.
• Any chemistry or biology background is helpful.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Healthcare Provider (HCP) - AHA approved preferred

• Obtains blood specimens in accordance with locally established guidelines and transports specimens to the appropriate department for processing.
• Ensures specimens are accurately labeled and properly sent to laboratory.
• Exhibits a professional demeanor with patients, physicians and employees.
• Greets all people in a pleasant and helpful manner.
• Demonstrates proper venipuncture, capillary, heel sticks and order of draw techniques.
