Job summary

Allina Health seeks a Phlebotomy/EKG support role to perform blood collection for inpatients and selected outpatients, including 12-lead ECGs, in a 48-hour bi-weekly schedule. You will engage with the care team, follow infection control and safety protocols, and handle data entry and chart updates.

Ideal candidates have a relevant HS diploma and 2–5 years phlebotomy exposure, with flexibility for Day/Night shifts and every other weekend rotation, contributing to patient care in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 2–5 years experience in phlebotomy

Responsibilities

• Blood sample collection via phlebotomy for lab analysis.
• Acquisition of 12 lead EKGs with correct patient identification.
• Maintain infection control and PPE procedures.
• Document completion of collection and communicate with care team.
• Organizes work, cleans and restocks carts and trays, and reports to floor.
