Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead EKG/Phlebotomist Technologist to collect blood, perform EKGs, and handle related clerical duties. The position requires phlebotomy and EKG skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and attention to infection-control practices. Weekend/holiday rotation is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write at level three in Invest software.
• Develop technical skills and follow SOPs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from adult and pediatric patients via venipuncture or capillary techniques.
• Perform EKGs as assigned according to SOPs.
• Interface with laboratory sections to ensure timely specimen processing.
• Enter data into hospital and Laboratory computers.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the blood-drawing areas.
