Froedtert Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to perform blood collection and related clerical duties at our West Bend facility. The role supports the lab and clinical teams with specimen collection and processing.
The position requires completing a phlebotomy program or equivalent healthcare experience, with ASCP certification preferred and strong documentation skills. Shift coverage includes early hours and weekend rotations.
Hours are mostly first shift, but will require some second shift to help support staffing needs. First shift rotate between 0400-1230, 0500-1330, and 0530-1400. Second shift is 1330-2200. Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non technical, and clerical functions.
Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program or related health care experience including direct patient contact is required. Phlebotomy experience with a minimum of 100 venipunctures is preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
ASCP certification is preferred.
Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
