Job summary

Vitalant seeks a Lead Phlebotomist to support mobile blood drives in Tempe, AZ. You will act as an operational lead, coach staff, and coordinate setup/breakdown of equipment while ensuring donor comfort during phlebotomy.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel. CDL training completion within six months is expected, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Active driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete CDL license program.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Supervisory training within six months post-hire.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as an operational lead, coaching staff when needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for blood drive coordinators on-site.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of equipment for mobile drives.
• Ensure donor comfort and information during phlebotomy.
• Assist supervisor with direction and staff performance input.

Salary : $25.18 - $26.02 per hour

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday (Hours vary based on blood drive events)

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you'll get to

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site
• Coordinate the set up and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
• Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process.
• Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations.
• Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites

High School Diploma or GED

Active driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to complete and pass CDL license program

Ability to travel as required

Successful completion of supervisory training program within six months

Two years phlebotomy experience preferred
