Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist in Tempe, AZ to lead donor care during blood drives and donor center interactions. You’ll coach staff, coordinate phlebotomy processes, and ensure comfortable, efficient donation experiences.

You will drive company vehicles to sites, supervise Donor Care Technicians, and travel as required. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and CDL training; two years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Lead Mobile Phlebotomist with supervisory responsibilities and onboarding coaching.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to travel.
• CDL training or program completion required or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Function as an operational lead, coaching staff in phlebotomy processes.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for blood drive coordinators.
• Coordinate setup and breakdown of equipment for mobile drives.
• Ensure donor comfort and clear information during phlebotomy.
• Assist supervisor in direction and performance evaluations.
• Drive company vehicles to drive sites and manage logistics.
• Travel as required; supervise Donor Care Technicians.
• Maintain required licenses and complete supervisory training within six months.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Vitalant is seeking a Lead Phlebotomist dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant’s donor care team as a lead in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers, most days you’ll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you’ll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.

What to Expect

Salary : $25.18 - $26.02 per hour

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday (Hours vary based on blood drive events)

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you’ll get to

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site

• Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process.
• Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations.
• Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites
• High School Diploma or GED
• Active driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to complete and pass CDL license program
• Ability to travel as required
• Successful completion of supervisory training program within six months
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred
