Silver Cross Hospital in Homer Glen, IL is seeking a detail-oriented lab front office team member. The role involves registration, medical necessity screening, and entry of orders for specimens, plus reporting from the LIS and routing as required.

You will also handle front-office calls, receive and deliver specimens, prepare samples for analysis, load automated instruments, and fax reports in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills.
• Previous lab experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Produce reports from the lab information system and route as required.
• Handle calls at the laboratory front office and manage communications.
• Receive and deliver specimens to lab departments in a timely manner.

Summary

Performs registration, medical necessity screening, and order entry on specimens received in the laboratory. Produces reports from the lab information system and correctly routes as required. Handles phone calls received in the laboratory front office. Receives and delivers specimens to laboratory departments in a timely manner. Prepares specimens for analysis, loads automated instruments. Faxes reports as required in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements

High School Graduate, or equivalent required. Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills. Previouslab experience preferred.

The expected pay for this position is listed below:

$18.71 - $18.71
