You will also handle front-office calls, receive and deliver specimens, prepare samples for analysis, load automated instruments, and fax reports in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to work as a team player with excellent customer services skills.
• Previous lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration, medical necessity screening, and order entry on specimens.
• Produce reports from the lab information system and route as required.
• Handle calls at the laboratory front office and manage communications.
• Receive and deliver specimens to lab departments in a timely manner.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and load automated instruments.
• Fax reports as required per HIPAA guidelines.
