Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in Homer Glen seeks a part-time Phlebotomist Registry to perform registration, screening, and order entry for specimens in the laboratory. This role handles specimen transport, preparation, and reporting, while supporting front-office phlebotomy operations and HIPAA-compliant faxing.

Requirements include a high school diploma; teamwork and customer service skills are essential. Prior lab experience is preferred, with shift variations including weekends.

• Previous lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and screen for medical necessity; enter orders.
• Produce reports from lab information system and route as required.
• Handle incoming calls in the lab front office.
• Receive and deliver specimens to lab areas in a timely manner.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and load automated instruments.
• Fax reports in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
