Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a PRN phlebotomist to join the Cleveland Lab. This part-time role covers nights and weekends, with a weekend rotation and a 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM shift on some weekends.

The ideal candidate has 6–12 months of experience, will perform venipuncture, specimen handling, patient registration, and support lab operations while adhering to safety and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong knowledge of venipuncture and specimen processing.
• Ability to work nights and weekends with weekend rotation.
• Familiarity with lab information systems.
• Certification in phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Processes nonblood specimens promptly and accurately.
• Prepares documentation and receives lab orders.
• Performs patient registration and provides patient support.
• Maintains equipment and supplies; clean workspace.
• Adheres to safety procedures and PPE protocols.
