Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• ASCP/AMT/ASPT or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Ensures accurate and timely collection of blood specimens per departmental practices.
• Ensures correct identification and delivery of patient samples to lab sections.
• Follows safety procedures for patients and specimens.
• Demonstrates advanced phlebotomy knowledge and acts as a resource to staff.
• Maintains inventory and processes lab orders in LIS.
• Performs specimen processing and may perform waived testing.
