Job summary

Lafayette Regional Health Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our laboratory team in Lexington, Missouri. The role involves receiving and processing specimens, informing patients about procedures, and handling clerical tasks to support patient care.

Responsibilities include labeling, preparing specimens, routing to staging areas, and accurate data entry. Phlebotomy certification is highly desirable, with a weekend night schedule available.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA highly desired.
• Six months phlebotomy experience preferred; phlebotomy experience in hospital laboratory.
• PRN weekend night shift, must have availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights between 6pm and 6am, shared holidays

Responsibilities

• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Process necessary paperwork for submitted specimens.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
