Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a PRN Laboratory Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves receiving and processing specimens, basic lab procedures, and essential clerical duties such as greeting patients and answering phones.

You will accurately identify and label samples, prepare them for analysis, and ensure proper routing to staging areas. The position requires phlebotomy certification (ASCP and/or NCA) and hospital lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification by ASCP and/or NCA highly desired.
• Six months phlebotomy experience preferred; hospital laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Process all paperwork for submitted specimens.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
