Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our hospital team. You will perform phlebotomy, collect and label specimens, and ensure accurate data entry to support lab testing.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, instructing on collection methods, and assisting with routine clerical tasks. The role prefers prior acute care experience and requires BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• HR diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience or certification may substitute.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled phlebotomy technique; BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and instruct on specimen collection methods.
• Draw blood via finger sticks, heel sticks, or venipuncture and collect other samples.
• Label specimens accurately and enter data into computer systems.
• Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis.
• Assist with clerical duties by answering phone calls.
