Job summary

Research Medical Center is hiring a Phlebotomist PRN to perform blood collections and specimen processing under supervision. You will greet patients, collect samples, label and document specimens, and prepare materials for several departments.

Clerical duties and data entry are also part of the role. The position requires a phlebotomy course graduate; certification is preferred but not required, with hospital experience and basic computer skills valued.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy course graduation is required for this role.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.
• Hospital experience and 1–2 years in phlebotomy are preferred.
• Minimum 6–8 blood draws per hour must be maintained.
• Basic keyboarding/computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and instruct on specimen collection methods.
• Draw blood using finger sticks, heel sticks, or venipuncture and collect other specimens as needed.
• Label specimens accurately and enter data into the computer.
• Prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology, blood bank, and urinalysis.
• Assist with clerical duties by answering calls.
