Responsabilités

• Verifies positive patient identification and ensures patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn to adult.
• Obtains specimens according to priority and scheduled times.
• Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens; resolves requisition issues.
• Answers and screens calls; assists with inventory and equipment.
• Accepts specimens from various internal/external customers and processes requests.
• Orders/verifies test requests and documents information for QA/QI.
• Reviews pending reports and distributes reports.
• Supports billing and other business functions.
• Instructs employees and students in phlebotomy and data entry.
• Demonstrates care appropriate to patients' ages.
