Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Watchung, NJ. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, specimen handling, data entry, and patient service in a busy clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, or several months of experience, with a commitment to accuracy and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
